Moby nets are a functional work of art. The craftsmanship is second to none. I couldn’t be happier with my net and everyone who fishes with me marvels at the beautiful details that Don Chatwin builds into his products. If you want a net that you can hand down to your kids one day, get a Moby.

Over my thirty plus years of fly-fishing I have fished with nearly every brand of net on the market. Over the years I didn’t pay much attention to the net as in my humble opinion it only transferred the fish from the water to the boat. In fact I always bought my nets based on price and not quality or appearance. Well that is the way I felt in the past. Now I realize the actual importance of a quality net as the majority of the fish we catch are being released. Poly and nylon mesh nets are very abrasive and remove the slim and scales from the fish which in return can result in increased mortality. That said the Moby nets not only have no-abrasive mesh but also make it a lot easier to land and photograph fish prior to their release. What makes the nets more user friendly is the long shallow bag. This design cradles the fish and allows the angler to reach in and pull the hook out without putting your entire arm in the water. The shallow bag also makes it easier to measure the fish and take pictures. The amount of time I spend with the fish in the net is now cut in half as I’m not fumbling around trying to line up the fish for the perfect picture. In a nutshell Moby nets have made my job as a photographer a lot easier.
We all have a lot of money invested in quality rods, reels, and lines; I am pleased that there is now a net that can match the high standards that us anglers have come to expect. A Moby net is more than just a net it is a hand crafted piece of functional art.
Sincerely
